A Japanese iron lantern with ribbed cylindrical light housing resting on a center shaft, round drip plate and tripod feet. The lantern with carrying handle, candle pricket and support ring. With hole in the base drip plate and pitting, wear and minor damage from age and use. 
Late Edo Period (1600-1868) - Meiji Period (1868-1912)
